About
My academic worldsheet.
I am a theoretical physicist interested in the role of symmetry in quantum field theory, gravity and strongly interacting matter.
From symmetry to dynamics.
My work connects the mathematical structure of quantum field theories with questions about entanglement, hydrodynamics and black holes. I use tools from conformal field theory, modular forms and holography to study systems in which symmetry provides a useful guide beyond perturbation theory.
I am currently a Senior Project Associate at the S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences in Kolkata. I previously worked at the University of Edinburgh and completed my PhD at Durham University under the supervision of Nabil Iqbal and Ruth Gregory.
